An abandoned (well, probably abandoned) structure in West Virginia.
Our theme for the Weekly Photo Challenge this week is: Path.
Our instructions: For this photo challenge, show us what path means to you.
I took this photo in Capon Bridge, West Virginia. You never know if a structure is truly abandoned (someone owns the property), so erring on the side of safety (my own), I used a zoom lens, from a respectful distance, to snap this photo. I was drawn to the contrast between the weathered sideboards and the rusty, corrugated metal roof — and the way they blended in so perfectly with the surroundings.
As for the path, I have no idea where that leads, but knowing West Virginia takes trespassing rather seriously, I was OK with that. Just because there’s a path in front of you, doesn’t mean you have to follow it.
Salud!
