Quick announcement!
Yesterday was my last day at Wegmans Wine. I’m starting a new chapter.
I’m super excited to announce that I will be working with Master Sommelier and chef, Jarad Slipp, at his new venture, Knead Wine, in Middleburg, Virginia. Opening in early August, Knead Wine will offer craft pizzas to-go (no seating), and an expertly curated retail wine list. Don’t worry, I won’t be the one cooking the pizzas. The wine concept is super interesting — one wall of the shop is wines that are all $20, the other wall is wines that are all $45. Additionally, there will be a rotating “best of a particular region” nook.
I met some wonderful people at Wegmans, and I learned a great deal about the retail wine world, what sells in America, and what the American public likes to drink. But it’s time for me to move on — it’s not an ending, just the point in my story where I turn the page.
Here’s to new challenges and opportunities!
Salud!
