In Amahl and the Night Visitors, you’ll be transported to the Holy Land to witness the heartwarming tale of a poor shepherd boy, Amahl, and his mother as they welcome three unexpected visitors—the Three Wise Men following a glorious star. With music and text by award-winning composer Gian-Carlo Menotti, this beloved work captures the magic and warmth of the holiday season.

The performance opens with the West Coast premiere of Four Lost Santas, a humorous story of a quartet on their way to a Santa Claus Convention. A car breakdown leads them to cross paths with a mother and son rushing to perform in Amahl. With music by Spicer Carr and a libretto by Rose Freeman and Carr, this lively piece offers laughter and charm.
