Wine, Words & Wednesday, No. 125

Well, I missed Wednesday again.  I’ve lost complete track of what day it is.  This is what happens when you add an 11-week old English mastiff puppy to your family.  Puppies are a lot like having babies.  They poop (mountains of poop), they eat (constantly), they cry, they put everything in their mouth, they get up in the middle of the night, they’re mischievous, and they demand all of your attention (when you sit down to try and write something on your laptop, they help).  It’s a good thing she’s so damn cute (puppy love and puppy kisses are the best), or I might lose it.

Anyhow . . . I missed Wednesday.

Today’s words come to us from Wine Spectator Senior Editor, James Laube.  I love these words — so much truth.

Have you had any wines, or read any books, you couldn’t put down lately?

I just finished Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale.  It was chilling.  Scary as hell.  I’m not sure whether I should shower, or go hide under my bed.  Shiver and shudder.

The puppy is up from her nap.  Writing time is over for now . . .
