RH Wine Vault Yountville Map
The RH Wine Vault presents an impeccably curated selection showcasing the finest wines from California, recognized as America’s premier wine-growing region. Situated within the storied Ma(i)sonry Building, a historical landmark erected in 1904 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the establishment provides tastings by flight, glass, or bottle.
Once home to one of Napa’s pioneering vintners in the early 20th century, the historic building has undergone a stunning transformation into a two-story Wine Vault. Boasting a 24-foot cedar ceiling, rugged fieldstone walls, plush lounge seating, and an impressive limestone bar, the venue provides an immersive experience.
Inside, you can explore a carefully curated assortment of rare, limited-production wines, along with classic champagnes. If you’re looking for a more private tasting, you’re invited to reserve one of the adjacent trellis-covered outdoor living rooms, which is exactly what we did.
Specializing in wines sourced from small, independent vintners, the RH Wine Vault offers a unique selection, with many options only found in the original wineries. It features both well-known brands and up-and-coming producers, all of whom reflect the customs and terroir that characterize Napa and Sonoma. Here’s a list of the vintners that RH Wine Vault works with:
- Lail Vineyards
- The Mascot
- Corison
- Barrett & Barrett
- Hourglass Wines
- Casa Piena
- Blackbird Vineyards
- Continuum
- Gandona Estate
- Fisher Vineyards
- Gros Ventre Cellars
- Tor Wines
The vintners, who run family-run enterprises, create some of the most renowned wines in the world. RH Wine Vault lets you learn more about their tales while you savor the results of their labor.
Outdoor Tasting Reservation At RH Wine Vault
Tastings begin at $45
I recently had the pleasure of reserving a tasting at the RH Wine Vault, and guess what? It’s completely free to secure your spot! The actual cost per person is settled after you’ve experienced the tasting.
Guided by an RH Wine Specialist, the Tasting Flights gave me the opportunity to taste vintages from local producers. Each sip was accompanied by detailed tasting notes that added an extra layer to the experience. We talked about terroir—exploring how the climate, topography, soil, and other region-specific factors influence the flavors and aromas of each wine.
If you’re considering it, plan for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to savor every moment. Just a heads up, though—reservations are exclusively for guests 21 years of age or older. You can check out their wine-tasting menu here.

The tasting took about 1 hour and 30 minutes, giving me ample time to truly appreciate each pour.
