This is my penultimate entry for Photography 101. Today’s make-up assignment is: Moment. We are supposed to take a photo of a “fleeting moment that we experience every day”. It’s not as easy as it sounds — it took a couple of weeks for the right moment to find me.
I was on my way out of the Post Office this morning (after dropping off a couple of last-minute packages), and I noticed how unusual the sky looked in that moment. Naturally, I didn’t have my “good” camera with me, so I took this photo with my iPhone.
The moment when there really is an Eye in the Sky!
Sing it with me . . . you know you want to.
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I really wish I had my “good” camera with me. The iPhone camera is fine, but it’s pretty limiting for anything approaching serious. I thought about running home to get my good camera, but I knew the moment would be gone by the time I returned. What I really need to do is start taking my good camera with me whenever I leave the house — because you never know when there’s going to be a moment.
One more make-up theme to go!
