Our theme for the Weekly Photo Challenge this week is: Motion.
Our instructions: This week, share your photographs that have captured motion, and tell us the stories behind the images.
The story? There’s really not much of a story here. I have a bird feeder set up outside my sunroom window. My grandfather always loved birdwatching, and I inherited his hobby. I love to watch the birds — they amuse me to no end. I leave my camera tripod set up in my sunroom (it’s become a permanent decorating feature) so I can try to capture bird moments when they happen.
I took this shot one morning in the dead of January. When I looked at the image in Lightroom, it cracked me up. The motion is frozen. He’s got his seed and takes off, but . . .
I feel like I’m forgetting something. Oh, yeah. Wings!!
