Weekly Photo Challenge: Transmogrify

Old Town Warrenton Cemetery . . . transmogrified for Halloween.

Our theme for the Weekly Photo Challenge this week is:  Transmogrify.
Our instructions:  This week, your theme is transmogrify — to change or transform into a different shape, especially an unexpected, grotesque, or bizarre one.

Transmogrify?  Yikes.  I’m stumped.

I went for a walk this morning (in search of transmogrification) and ended up at our Old Town Warrenton Cemetery (it’s Halloween, and I was feeling a little Stephen King).

I’m overthinking, but ultimately, what’s more transmogrifying than a cemetery?  As I walked among the old graves, I was struck by how very many of the headstones aren’t just old and worn, but broken, unreadable, and forgotten.  Time waits for no one and catches us all.

I took this photo at the cemetery . . . and then I transmogrified it even further.  (Unexpected, grotesque and bizarre . . . ✔️).

Happy Halloween!
